Lumbering among the rocks and logs the black bear rests through another cold winter in the Tuscarora Mountains. Hearing a sound in the distance he lazily raises his head to peer down wind without a care. The warm suns light bouncing off his thick, jet black hair.

Bears have been the cornerstone of legends and folklore. We see them as strong, curious, quite and fierce. To me they represent how we should be. Just like a bear we need to be calm, curious, and easy going. But at any given moment, when we must, we need to be strong, dominant and fierce. We must show ourselves as gardeners ,while our internal warrior rests within.
