I love to hear "It's to cold to go fishing." That jus means more water for my to explore and fish.

Icy Blonde was a piece I painted after the coldest fishing trip I had ever done. It was 13 degrees on an early Saturday morning. I went to my local creek searching for wild and big brown trout. With no luck happening I went against everything I knew about winter fishing and decided to cast into a tailout of some riffles. About midway through the drift I saw a large gold flash! She missed the fly and set back up in her seam. I watched her for about 20 minutes before casting again. I cast out about 3 times with nothing. Then on the forth cast I saw the white mouth open and set the hook. When the trout came in I realized it was 21 inch Palamino! This trout had the most vibrant, beautiful coloration I had ever seen.
